Matt Dickinson is a writer and film maker. As a film maker he has worked for National Geographic Television, the Discovery Channel and the BBC and is one of the very few director/cameramen who have ever filmed on the summit of Mount Everest. He has written Mortal Chaos, Death Zone, High Risk and Black Ice. The best of his books is Black Ice. Black Ice is about a scientist Lauren Burgess who has made a fascinating discovery which could change the face of human knowledge, as well as rescuing two stranded men in Antarctica.
He came to the French International School last Thursday to talk about his expeditions and show clips of what he filmed in places such as Mount Everest, Mount Williams, Antarctica and The Summit. He also gave us advice for writing and directing films. We also asked questions that were to interest of us.
